Our company was founded in March 1996 with the vision of tapping into the promise of the Internet by building leading business-to-business e-commerce companies. Since then, we've been at the forefront of the Internet software wave.
ICG established itself as a leader in the tech boom. We maintained our belief in the Internet software space during the downturn, growing a number of winners during that time by sticking with our companies, including Blackboard, LinkShare and Procurian, among others. Throughout, we have remained true to our original mission of transforming business through Internet-related efficiencies.
Today we occupy an important niche in the Internet marketplace, providing support to growth companies. We provide capital and, even more importantly, essential guidance and operational insights to allow our partner companies to create opportunities and achieve market-leading positions.
