Walter Buckley
Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer
Walter is co-founder, Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board of ICG. Prior to ICG, Walter was Vice President of acquisitions for Safeguard Scientifics, Inc., where he led many of Safeguard's investments through the mid-1990s, including Diamond Technology, ChromoVision and Video Server. He also was responsible for developing and executing Safeguard's multimedia and Internet investment strategies.
Before Safeguard, Walter was President and co-founder of Centralized Management Systems, Inc., a medical supply company, which he sold in 1987. Previously, he spent three years at CoreStates in the commercial lending group.
Walter was included in Business Week's 2000 "eBiz 25," listing of the 25 most influential people in electronic business, Price Waterhouse honored Walter with its “Entrepreneur of the Year” in 2000, and the Greater Philadelphia Venture Group honored him with its "Entrepreneurial Excellence Award" in June 2000.
In addition to serving as Chairman of the Board for ICG, Walter sits on the board of ICG Commerce. He is Chairman of the Starfinder Foundation, a non-profit organization, the Board of Advisors of the Carolina Entrepreneurial Initiative and on the Board of Visitors of the Kenan-Flagler Business School at University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

An original member of ICG's advisory board, Doug joined the company full-time in September 1997 as Managing Director, and was appointed President of ICG in January, 2009. Doug has had many roles at ICG including CEO of WiseWire Technologies, which was successfully sold to Lycos; Chairman of Verticalnet through its IPO; CEO of ICG Europe; and CEO of Traffic.com, which was later successfully sold to Navteq. In addition to these roles, Doug's primary focus at ICG has been to sponsor and oversee investments in several partner companies that have included Blackboard (Nasdaq: BBBB), Verticalnet (Nasdaq:VERT), eMerge Interactive (Nasdaq: EMRG), Arbinet-thexchange (Nasdaq: ARBX), WiseWire (acquired by Lycos), LinkShare (acquired by Rakuten), CreditTrade (merged with Creditex Group), Creditex (acquired by IntercontinentalExchange (NYSE: ICE)), StarCite (Acquired by Active (Nasdaq: ACTV)), Traffic.com (acquired by Navteq), ClickEquations (acquired by Channel Intelligence), and Investor Force. Doug currently serves on the boards of Channel Intelligence, GovDelivery, Investor Force, SeaPass, ICG Commerce and WhiteFence. Additionally, Doug serves as the co-Chairman of NFTE Philadelphia, is a member of the President's Advisory Board for Eisenhower Fellows and is Chairman of the Management & Technology Executive Board at the University of Pennsylvania.
Prior to joining ICG, Doug co-founded Reality Online in 1989. Reality Online was an early innovator in the development of award-winning financial planning tools and online services aimed at the individual investor. With the advent of the Internet, Doug transformed the company into a leading provider of Internet solutions to the retail brokerage industry, and then sold the company to Reuters in February 1994. Over the following 3 years, Doug became a key contributor to Reuters' many Internet initiatives and a frequent speaker on the Internet and its impact on the financial services industry. Prior to co-founding Reality Online, Doug was a partner with Strategic Management Group, a corporate training firm and three-time Inc. 500 company.

Managing Director
Kamal is a Managing Director at ICG. In this capacity, he leads acquisitions of partner companies and works closely with them to drive their success.
Prior to joining ICG, Kamal was senior vice president and chief financial officer of Advanta Business Cards, a leading issuer of credit cards to small businesses. Since 1994, Kamal served in various other capacities at Advanta including vice president of corporate development and vice president of investor relations at Advanta Corp. and chief financial officer of Vehicle Information Network, an early stage company that Advanta had invested in.
Earlier in his career, Kamal was a senior manager in the financial advisory services group at Coopers & Lybrand, where he provided financial consulting services to a broad range of companies in connection with mergers, acquisitions, financing transactions, and business reorganizations.
Kamal brings over 25 years of diverse experience to ICG and its partner companies.

Managing Director
John is a Managing Director at ICG. In this capacity, he leads acquisitions of partner companies and works with entrepreneurs to build great companies.
John has over 20 years of experience as a serial entrepreneur, private equity investor and operational executive. Prior to joining ICG, John was the founder of the Swinford Group LLC a management consulting firm focused on growth strategies and turnaround situations in private equity-backed and Fortune 1000 companies.
Prior to forming the Swinford Group, John was the Manager Director and Executive Vice President for all technology investments at Safeguard Scientifics, Inc (NYSE: SFE). For Safeguard, he was an active director on partner company boards, led new and follow-on investments, and multiple successful exits, including the sale of Mantas to Oracle (NASDAQ: ORCL). Prior to joining Safeguard, John co-founded Gestalt LLC which focused on software solutions for government and energy customers and successfully was sold to Accenture (NYSE:ACN). John also served as Senior Vice President of Breakaway Solutions, where he managed all strategy and consulting engagements, and was part of the senior management team that took Breakaway Solutions public. Prior to Breakaway Solutions, John was the Senior Vice President and CTO of WPL Laboratories, which earned recognition as an Inc. 500 company. Early in his career, John held executive positions at PECO Energy and GE.

Managing Director
Vince is a Managing Director at ICG and has been with the company since May 2000. Vince primarily focuses on overseeing ICG's investments, providing strategic, operational and financial guidance to ICG's partner companies and evaluating new acquisition opportunities.
Prior to joining ICG, Vince spent nine years with Arthur Andersen LLP and Coopers & Lybrand LLP, most recently as a Senior Manager in the technology practice of Arthur Andersen LLP. In these roles, Vince provided management consulting services including financial analysis, market research, merger and acquisition transaction support, due diligence and business valuation as well as audit and accounting services across a broad range of industries. In addition, he worked with clients on numerous venture capital investments, acquisitions, initial public offerings and company sales.

Managing Director
Darren Sandberg is a Managing Director at ICG. Darren is responsible for assisting ICG partner companies with developing strategy, improving operational performance and business development. He is also responsible for identifying new acquisition opportunities on behalf of ICG. Since joining ICG, Darren’s focus has been on internet marketing and services companies, and he currently sits on the Boards of Directors of Channel Intelligence, ClickEquations and WhiteFence. Darren first joined ICG in 2000 and rejoined in 2006. Prior to rejoining ICG, Darren was a Vice President at Broder Bros., a $1 billion distribution company backed by Bain Capital, where he was a senior member of the management team responsible for the strategic and operational decisions of the company. Prior to Broder Bros., Darren was a Senior Manager at Arthur Andersen LLP, where he was responsible for M&A due diligence, transaction structuring and auditing and accounting services for middle market technology and services companies.

Vice President
Matthew is a Vice President at ICG. His responsibilities include sourcing, analyzing and executing new acquisitions. He also works closely with ICG partner companies to drive organic growth and growth through acquisitions. Matthew has worked at several private equity firms in the US and Europe. His deal and board experience span growth equity investments, leverage buyouts and restructuring. Before ICG, Matthew worked in the technology group at TA Associates in the Boston and London offices. While at TA Associates, Matthew concentrated on financial technology, software and Internet sectors. During this time Matthew was an active investor in Creditex (Acquired by IntercontinentalExchange (NYSE: ICE)), Smartstream Technologies (Acquired by Dubai International Financial Centre) and OpenLink Financial (Acquired by the Carlyle Group).
Prior to TA Associates, Matthew worked at Platinum Equity in Los Angeles and was an active investor in Broadspire Services (Acquired by Crawford & Company; (NYSE: CRD.B)). Matthew has also worked at Francisco Partners in the London office.

As an Associate at ICG, Stuart sources, evaluates and executes new acquisitions. He joined ICG from Milbank Roy & Co. LLC, a boutique investment bank in New York. At Milbank Roy, Stuart focused on M&A and equity transactions in technology, media and telecommunications, and played a fundamental role in a number of transactions, including the sale of Dream Ad to Ybrant Digital. Stuart holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business with a concentration in Finance, and a Juris Doctor from New York Law School, where he was the International Law Fellow.

Lee is an Associate at ICG. His responsibilities include sourcing, evaluating, and executing new acquisitions. He joined ICG from PricewaterhouseCoopers Transaction Services group, where he provided M&A advisory and financial due diligence services to numerous strategic and financial clients on deals ranging from $5 million to $6 billion in enterprise value. Lee started his career in PricewaterhouseCoopers Assurance practice, providing auditing and accounting services to a variety of public and private companies within the financial services industry.

Eric is an Associate at ICG. His responsibilities include sourcing, evaluating, and executing new acquisitions. He joined ICG from Battery Ventures, a venture capital and private equity firm based in Boston, where he focused on private equity transactions in the industrials sector. Prior to Battery Ventures, Eric worked in Business Development at XChange, a SaaS financial services startup based in Silicon Valley, where he led strategic partnership initiatives and consulted on company growth and strategy. Previous experience includes roles in investment banking at Bay Capital Partners.
